The Ron Fletcher Program of Study® is the most definitive, professional Pilates teacher training program of its kind and the only program endorsed by Pilates Master Ron Fletcher. Ensuring the consistency and continuity of the Fletcher Pilates® lineage, this multi-dimensional Program of Study includes a Comprehensive Program, the Program Overview (an in-depth preparatory course), as well as a variety of specialty continuing education and licensing courses.

Our Comprehensive Program Structure
Our Comprehensive Program is designed to give participants a thorough understanding of the complete Fletcher lineage of the Pilates method and to instill an understanding of how to teach this method to others. The full range of Pilates apparatus is incorporated, as well as the Pilates Matwork and signature Fletcher Pilates® techniques.
Preparing to Enter the Program
Prerequisite Hours
It is essential that Program of Study participants develop a strong personal practice before learning to teach this method. The following are the minimum requirements to initiate the Comprehensive Program of Study:
- 30 private sessions with a Qualified Fletcher Teacher
- 30 Program Overview, group class or workshop hours with a Qualified Fletcher Teacher
Our Program Overview (described below) counts as the 30 required group class hours.
The full prerequisite student process generally takes 3 - 6 months.
The Fletcher Pilates® Program Overview
Our Program Overview is a preparatory course designed to give
students an experiential overview of the Fletcher Pilates® program, from the
student point of view. Based on Ron Fletcher’s philosophy of “knowing
movement in the body,” the Overview encourages experiencing each piece
of movement before learning to teach it. Structured as a 30-hour
program, generally taught in 3-hour sessions, the Program Overview is
the most efficient and affordable means of preparing to enter the Comprehensive Program.
The Program Overview is taught exclusively by our Fletcher Facilitators and Faculty who prepare and mentor students through each step on the path to become a Fletcher Pilates® teacher. If there are no programs in your area, you may prepare to enter the Comprehensive Program by studying with a Qualified Fletcher Teacher.
