Fletcher Ped-i-Pul Course
The Pedipul was originally designed by Joseph Pilates to stabilize and mobilize the spine and pelvis, while balancing the shoulder girdle. Ron Fletcher expanded on the original body of work and refined the design of the Pedipul to facilitate body placement and safety. The Fletcher Pilates® Pedipul syllabus is the most extensive in existence, ranging from simple stabilization and range of motion exercises to challenging movement patterns. The Pedipul provides the ideal standing assessment tool in both a Pilates studio as well as a Physical Therapy practice.
Prerequisite: Fletcher Pilates® Intensive Licensing Course.
Length of course: 1 day

Advanced Fletcher Floorwork® Course

Developed over the course of 5 decades, Fletcher Floorwork® is an artistic and challenging alternative to the original Pilates Matwork. Based on Ron Fletcher's studies with Martha Graham, Yeichi Nimura, Agnes De Mille and Joseph and Clara Pilates, Fletcher Floorwork® introduces thoughtful, creative movement patterns that depart from the classic matwork structure.
Fletcher Floorwork® was designed to meet the needs of individual students while keeping the material constantly challenging and original. A good movement program demands the stimulus of change to keep the mind and body "at the ready." The application of Fletcher Floorwork® can be adapted for patient rehabilitation as well as for the intermediate and advanced student.
What are the primary benefits of the Fletcher Floorwork®?
• Enhances spinal articulation;
• Strengthens intrinsic musculature;
• Increases flexibility with control;
• Enhanced both movement and spatial awareness;
• Employs a wide variety of movement patterns for cognitive stimulus.
Prerequisite: Qualified Teacher or Fletcher Licensed Provider

Wise Hands: Hands-on Techniques for Pilates Teachers
There is an art to applying hands-on as a Pilates teacher. It requires a deep understanding of the human body, of the intention of each Pilates movement and of how to apply precise hands-on techniques. It also requires timing, sensitivity, confidence and the ability to establish a safe teaching environment. Before incorporating hands-on cues, there is much to consider in terms of scope of practice, contraindications, appropriate touch and understanding different types of hands-on skills and techniques.
This workshop is designed to establish a basic framework to learn specific and effective hands-on skills to incorporate in a Pilates session or class. Please use this manual as a journal and add to your notes as you deepen your knowledge, skills and teaching practice.
Prerequisite: Pilates Teachers.
Length of course: 1 day
