Fletcher Pilates advocates for progressive social change and commits to effecting this change within our own organization. We acknowledge that we must look inwardand examine our own role in the present and historic repercussions of systemic racism and inequality that have negatively impacted Black and Brown lives, as well as all other marginalized communities both within the Pilates community and society at large. We stand with Black and Brown people and communities around the country in outrage and protest against police brutality and state-sanctioned violence.

We at Fletcher Pilates wholeheartedly believe white supremacy and systemic racismhave no place in our society, and to be a part of the solutionand no longer part of the problem,we must commit to addressing and correcting implicit bias within our organization. This work is not accomplished by a statement alone. As we move forward, we will carry this awareness into every decision we make, every program we develop, and every partnership we cultivate.

We unapologetically commit to supporting and making space for the Black and Brown organizations and leaders already at the forefront of this fight. Fletcher Pilates understands that Pilates is for every body of all shapes, sizes, skin colors, religions, class, sexual orientations, and gender identities. We will mindfully move forward to actualize this truth as reality within our Pilates community.

Fletcher Pilates has already contributed significantly to groups including, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Tucson, Color of Change, the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, andSister Jose’s Women’s Center. We ask that anyone who is willing and able joins us in this pursuit of equality.
